PENGY

The Commodore PET is a machine that has always fascinated me. 

For years, I had the idea in the back of my mind that one day I would develop something for it. Now that dream has finally become reality, and I am proud to present my very first game for this platform.

It may also be my last, unfortunately, because I do not actually own a real PET machine. If someone ever gives me one someday, perhaps I will try creating something else for it.

This game has only been tested on emulators, never on real hardware. I would truly love to know if it runs correctly on an actual Commodore PET with at least 32k, and seeing a video of the game running on a real machine would be a dream come true for me.

In the meantime, I hope you will enjoy this little game, which is an adaptation of a 1992 PC shareware title that I had previously ported to the ColecoVision console also.

You play as Pengy, and your goal is to align the three diamond blocks either horizontally or vertically in order to advance to the next level. Of course, angry walruses stand in your way, but you can crush them by sliding ice blocks across the playfield.

If you manage to complete all 21 levels, a terrible secret will be revealed — one that may forever change your vision of computer history!

While the game takes some inspiration from the classic arcade game Pengo, it focuses mainly on the puzzle-solving aspect rather than the arcade action.
